About Us

The Blind Spot is owned by Helene & Michael Lichtman of Wynnewood. Our factory workroom is located in Penn Valley PA, this is not a showroom.

Michael brings all of the samples to you home. Michael has been manufacturing and installing custom made window treatments since 1980. Prior to selling to the retail market place, Michael owned the workroom that supplied custom window treatments and bedding to Wanamaker's Department store
His duties at The Blind Spot include:

• Expertly measuring/ installing every job
• Consulting with the clients, giving his expert opinion
• Cutting all fabrics to ensure perfection
• Upholstering cornices and headboards
• Assembling all fabric shades

Helene met Michael in college at Philidelphia College of Textile and Science in 1981. They were married that following year. Helene brought her accounting expertise to The Blind Spot and she runs the day to day operation, including:

• Managing the factory
• Fabricating honeycomb and Roman shades
• Customer service
• Scheduling measuring & installation appointments
• Assisting Michael on large installations
